SW8 – Battersea – Timber Sash Windows and Plantation Shutters

The project consists of new Georgian timber sash windows throughout all with California Shutters.

The windows were in desperate need of replacing and the client was looking for a double glazed option with improved insulation and noise reduction. We, therefore, used our Acosutic Glass 6.8mm in a combination with a warm Edge Spacer and 4mm glass internal.

Furthermore, the client was interested in adding shutters to the new windows. We looked at a variety of options and several products, but the one that was a clear winner was the plantation shutters. These come with excellent insulating properties from both heat and the cold along with sound proofing, security, and longevity. The panels bi fold and fold back against the side wall to leave the window completely clear.
