All our timber sash windows meet both UK conservation criteria and UK building regulations with the added benefit of providing modern age thermal insulation qualities. All our windows are double glazed and have Argon-filled 4/16/4 (complying with the new building regulations from October 1st 2010) glazing units with a U-value below 1.4 W/(m²K).
Most of our customers are fitters, builders and developers, as we can process large orders at the most competitive prices for a high quality product.
We are based in London and deliver within a radius of 100 miles of London at very competitive rates.
We offer a free survey within the M25, which includes taking exact measurements for a precise quote and show samples of our window products.

Sash windows
Sollex produces all types of classic timber sash windows, meeting the needs of UK period properties.
We also produce copies of "one-off" feature windows. All we require for a quote is a photo, and window opening sizes.
We always aim at maximising the original charm of your period property by re-producing exact copies of the original sash windows. We are specialised in the London market, where many councils have strict design and quality rules to meet their conservation area requirements.

Timber used
We only use the highest quality soft & hardwood timber for our sash windows:
- Nordic Pine
- Siberian Larch
- Oak
We only use engineered quality wood for optimal product durability. If properly maintained, our sash windows will last a lifetime, and beyond.
Glazing
For the glazing we use the most modern double glazing technology that is currently on the market. All our double glazing is Argon-filled and offers a 1.4W/(m²K) to 1.5W/(m²K) U-Value. We source our glass from Saint-Gobain® and SZILÁNK®. White Edgetech super spacers or white aluminum spacers within the double glazing units produce an optimal visual blend-in.
Finish
All our sash windows have three paint coats: one basecoat primer, one preservative undercoat and a white semi gloss, micro porous topcoat finish. (Sikkens Rubol WF380)
Sealing
All our sash windows come triple sealed, using three sets of aquamac weather seals, offering optimal draft sealing and prevent any sash rattle.
Casement windows
Our timber casement windows can be ordered in two different profiles
- 56mm outward opening with an integrated 'stay' locking mechanism
- 69mm inward opening or tilt and turn Continental European type
The pricing of our casement windows provides our clients a real alternative to cheap PVC casement windows.

Door Systems
Doors and French doors
Our timber French doors are bespoke products made to measure and like our casement windows can be ordered in two different profiles
- 59mm open in and open out
- 69mm open in only
Sliding Doors and Bi-folding Doors
We use German engineered tracking and sliding systems for all our bi-fold and sliding door products.
All glazing units in all our doors ar toughened glass.
Fitting
For our retail and individual clients we provide both advice and a recommendation for a fitting team that we have known and trusted for years.
Our team operates on a "tidy" site policy, which means that all debris, rubbish and empty boxes will be disposed of.
Every fitting is supervised by us and we aim at providing best value for our customers by delivering a smooth and efficient experience, at reasonable prices.
We are Fensa registered and all our products and fitting is insured by GGFI

Q: What are your payment terms
A: Our payment terms have recently changed!
We require a 25% deposit for all orders. There is a 7 day 'change of mind policy' in effect upon first payment
Important note: All products remain the property of Sollex Products ltd. until the fitting has been signed off and paid for by the customer.
Q: Do your windows come boxed/funished/painted?
A: Yes, all our windows and doors come as fully functional boxed windows, frame and sash!
They are fully furnished, and fully painted with 3 coats of microporous paint! All included in the quoted price, no hidden extras!
Q: What are your lead times?
A: approximately 6-8 weeks from the deposit payment received to the supply & delivery
Q: How come your windows are so much lower in price, compared to other bespoke window manufacturers?
A: Our business model is based on cutting fixed costs which in the current economic climate is crippling many businesses.
We do not have fancy showrooms nor big offices, we have mobile units going to customer directly with samples. Thus cutting exorbitant costs which we can pass on directly to the customer.
Q: Can you quote me for an average size Victorian-Bay window?
A: The answer to this question should be yes, but in truth there is no such thing as an average size for any type of bespoke timber window, be this Victorian, Georgian or Edwardian.
Windows back in those days used to be built on site. Therefore the answer will always depend on when the house was built, where the house was built and by whom the house was built! This is why we require width and height sizes to be able to quote you. Alternatively we offer a free survey within London, to be able to quote you for your specific sizes with an accurate price!
Warranty
Sollex window products have been built to an exacting standard, with top quality timber and technology. Our double draught sealing technology is second to none.
We offer a 5-year free replacement guarantee for any product that should fail because of defective material or workmanship.
Our sash windows, if reasonably maintained, will last a lifetime, and beyond.
All fitting work is FENSA registered and all products/works are insured by GGFI scheme!
